First - great pattern thanks for sharing it. Just wondering about shaping the crown. The instructions say knit 2 together - does this mean the whole row knit 2 together and then bind off. I'm pretty new to knitting to just wanted to double check.

Yes, you have to knit 2 stitches together the whole row and for 2 rows.
Happy Knitting :)

I would love to make these for an NICU. Can these be made on a circular needle?

Hi Gramann3,
Yes circular needle can be use but when shaping the crown you will need double pointed needles.

Do you think this would work for cotton? The mother prefers natural fibers.

Hi Debby,
I think cotton will work just fine.

It's great when the comments answer all the questions one has! I'm going to size these down a touch and use cotton for the NICU, and they'll be cute as can be! Thanks for the pattern!
