For Small Teddy 11”;  

1 oz. 3 ply yarn 

“Double pointed” or/and circular needles #5

1 marker / 1 tapestry needle

Stitch explanation

-Increase “inc. 1 st in next st”; knit the stitch as usual, but don’t slip it off the needle. Now knit in the back of the same stitch

-K2Tog; knit 2 stitches together

-P1 Between; insert right needle in back under loop, between P1 and next stitch, purl this stitch

SWEATER:  *Knit neck down

-Cast on 48 sts “3 DP; 16-16-16”

(place marker before the last 2 sts and keep it in that position when increasing)

1- Ribs; K2, P2 for  for 2 rounds

  -*K2TOG, repeat* around

  -*P1, P1 between* around

2-*k3, inc. 1 st in next st, repeat* around = 60 sts “3 DP; 20-20-20”

   -Knit 1 round

  -*K2TOG, repeat* around

  -*P1, P1 between* around

3-*k4, inc. 1 st in next st, repeat* around = 72 sts “3 DP; 24-24-24”

  -Knit 1 round

  -*K2TOG, repeat* around

  -*P1, P1 between* around

4-*k5, inc. 1 st in next st, repeat* around =84 sts “4 DP; 21-21-21-21”

  -Knit 1 round

  -*K2TOG, repeat* around

  -*P1, P1 between* around

5-*k6, inc. 1 st in next st, repeat* around =96 sts “4 DP; 24-24-24-24”

  -Knit 1 round

  -*K2TOG, repeat* around

  -*P1, P1 between* around

6-*k7, inc. 1 st in next st, repeat* around =108 sts “4 DP; 27-27-27-27”

  -Knit 1 round

  -*K2TOG, repeat* around

  -*P1, P1 between* around

8- Knit 14 sts, Cas Off 26 sts, Knit 27 sts, Cast Off  26 sts, Knit 13 sts = 56 sts for the body

9- Knit 5 rounds (pull yarn tight underarms)

10- Ribs; K2, P2 for 3 rounds
11- Cast Off in ribs.   Weave in ends.
