SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER

On May 10, 2011, Brandi Page, Nurse Manager, New Hanover NICU, was guest speaker at the Sea Trail Garden Club meeting at the Pink Palace. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop as Brandi talked about how they care for over 600 premature babies a year. She also explained how the gowns, blankets, coddlers and other items provided by the Sea Trail Grandmas, bring color to the sterile hospital rooms and joy to the parents visiting their fragile babies. We were so grateful that Brandi took time out of her busy schedule to come to Sea Trail.

She explain the importance for the preemie to be in a coddler.
He can develop his leg muscles by pushing in the foot roll and he stimulate his suction by having his hands close to his mouth.
Also he can be transported in it and he fell safe in this little nest.

That day more than 500 items were on display.
