ABREVIATIONS AND STITCH EXPLANATION
K = knit
K2tog = knit 2 together
M1 = Increase “inc. 1 st in next st”; knit the stitch as usual, but don’t slip it off the needle. Now knit in the back of the same stitch
P = purl
Psso = pass slip stitch over (over knit stitch)
RS = right side
Sl1 = slip 1 stitch as you knit
st(s) = stitch(es)
WS = wrong side
Yf = put yarn in front of work
YO = yarn over (bring yarn in front of work and knit next stitch)

Small; 2 strait needles #2
Medium; 2 strait needles #3
Medium; 2 strait needles #3
1 darning needle
1 crochet hook size D
SOLE
Cable Cast on 27 sts
1st row: (Ws) Knit
2nd row: (Rs) Inc. 1 st in first st, K11, inc. 1 st in next st, inc. 1 st in next st, K11, inc. 1 st in next st, K1 = 31 sts
3rd row: (Ws) Knit
4th row: (Rs) Inc. 1 st in first st, K13, inc. 1 st in next st, inc. 1 st in next st, K13, inc. 1 st in next st, K1 = 35 sts
5th row: (Ws) Knit
6th row: (Rs) Inc. 1 st in first st, K15, inc. 1 st in next st, inc. 1 st in next st, K15, inc. 1 st in next st, K1 = 39 sts
7th row: (Ws) Knit
AROUND FOOT:
Knit 4 rows.
FOOT TOP: **Tip: When K2tog, PULL tight on yarn**
Row 1: (Rs) K 15, K2tog, K5, K2tog, yf, Sl1, Turn (your work)
Row 2 to 8: K2tog, K5, K2tog, yf, Sl1, Turn
Row 9: (Rs) K2tog, K5, K2tog, Knit to end of row = 21 sts
Row 10: (Ws) K6, inc. 1 st in next st, K6, inc. 1 st in next st,, Pick up 1 stitch between 14th and 15th sts put it on left needle and knit 2 together, K6= 23 sts
Row 11 and 12: knit
HOLES:
*K2tog, YO* repeat *,* to the last st, K1 = 11 holes
LEG
Knit in garter stitch (all knit) for 21 rows finishing by a (Ws) row. (10 ribs after the holes)
Cast off very loose, keeping a 12” tail.
Turning sock on wrong side and matching edges, sew leg with a invisible seam “insert the darning needle in the first and last stitch of each row” (Fig. 1), pull lightly on tail (Fig. 2).
Sew sole (Fig. 3), turn sock on right side.

CHAIN
With hook, make a 11” chain. Thread chain through holes and tie a bow. For safety sew chain in back of sock. 03/06/14
