Hi thank you for such nice patterns. I was wondering if there is a tie for the mittens since there is a row of eyelets?

Hi Linda, We are glad that you like this pattern. There are no tie for the mitten because that is not safe for the baby.

Thank you very much for these patterns. I am going on pension next year January and i am going to knit baby items and donate to the hospitals in need of and also here by us there are lots of young girls that fall pregnant and the grand parents do not always have money to buy so i will try and knit for them to help the grand parents.

Thank you so much for the beautiful pattern. The way it is written is reminiscent of patterns from the 50's and 60's, very easy to understand.
I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and the hospitals here always welcome these types of donations.
Thanks again, so much appreciated!!

Thanks for sharing this lovely pattern. What size is the sweater pattern? I see that there is a difference in the amount of yarn required for the premie and newborn sizes but can't find any differences in the posted pattern. Is this written for the premie or newborn?

Hi Carol,
I am glad that you like this pattern.
I am from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, :)
But I leave in United State.
This pattern is always the same for all sizes.
What make different sizes is the yarn and needles.
If you use 2 ply yarn (for preemie size) with the size needles written on the pattern that will fit a 4 to 6 lbs baby. If you use the 3 ply with bigger needles written on the pattern that will fit 7 to 9 lbs baby.
I hope that answer your question. Happy knitting, Michele Lupien

Hi, I'm from the uk and knitting this for my friends first baby. I'm knitting the newborn size using 4.5mm and the neck stitches seem very loose/lacey. Is there a tension guage for this pattern.

P.s. Thank you so much for providing this pattern it really is beautiful.

Hi ?,
I am glad that you like this pattern.
I am sorry but there's not a tension gauge for this pattern.
The needle sizes are in US.
You can find on the right of the pattern the needle and yarn charts.
It's possible that your yarn is 2 (fine) and not 3 (light).
You can also use 4 for this project.
Happy Knitting,
Hugs, Michele Lupien
