  1. Very Cute pattern, but how much yarn is needed for each size. I was thinking of making the 34 x 34 size.

    thanks

  3. What is a SL1 stitch referred to in the pattern as sl1, ch2, 2dc? I know the chain 2 and 2 double crochet but I can't figure out what the sl1 is! Love the pattern!! Where can I find the cap and sweater pattern?

  8. Hi Oma,
the sl1 (slip1) with the chain2 make the PEARL pattern.
Also this pattern is design for preemie or small babies and the sl1 instead of a double crochet make the blanket more tight (smaller holes)for the little fingers.
    Thank you!

  9. My first thought on seeing this blanket was, "Finally, someone who understands that the pattern must be tight so little fingers don't get caught!" This is simply lovely, and I will share this pattern with others who make blankets for charity. Thank you so much!!

  11. Sl 1 is like when you join when finishing a round: insert hook, yo, pull yarn thru both loops on hook. The 2 dc is treble in UK terms, if anyone isn't sure.
