MATERIAL
-1/2 oz., 1 Ply Acrylic Fingering Weight Baby Yarn-Double pointed needles size #3
-1 darning needle
Finished hat size/(preemie weight)/(head circ.)(fit on)
X Small (XS): width 3”, length 3”/(1 lb. and less)/(8”& less)(lime)
Small (S): width 3.5”, length 3.5”/(1-2 lbs)/( 8.25”- 9.75”)(lemon)
Medium (M): width 4”, length 4”/(2-3 lbs)/(9”- 10.5”)(small orange)
Large (L): width 4.5”, length 4.5”/(3-4 lbs)/(10.75”- 12”)(big orange)
X Large (XL):width 5”, length 5”/(4-5.5 lbs)/(12”- 13”)(small grapefruit)
X Small (XS): width 3”, length 3”/(1 lb. and less)/(8”& less)(lime)
Small (S): width 3.5”, length 3.5”/(1-2 lbs)/( 8.25”- 9.75”)(lemon)
Medium (M): width 4”, length 4”/(2-3 lbs)/(9”- 10.5”)(small orange)

INSTRUCTION
Cable Cast on, Very Loose (or cast on with bigger size N)
XS 42 (S 48, M 54, L 60, XL 68) Stitches
Divide stitches evenly onto 3 needles, join, being careful not to twist stitches.
Place marker for beginning of round (or use 1st stitch tail for marker).
Ribs
(knit 2 sts, purl 1 st) for 5 (6, 7, 8, 9) rounds
Knit
14 (18, 22, 26, 30) more rounds
Cable Cast on, Very Loose (or cast on with bigger size N)

Decrease
-*K4, K2Tog* around = XS 25 (S 30, M 35, L 40, XL 45) sts
-Knit 1 round
-*K3, K2Tog* around = XS 20 (S 24, M 28, L 32, XL 36) sts
-Knit 1 round
-*K2, K2Tog* around = XS 15 (S 18, M 21, L 24, XL 27) sts
-Knit 1rounds
-*K1, K2Tog* around = XS 10 (S 12, M 14, L 16, XL 18) sts
-Knit 1 round
-*K2Tog* around = XS 5 (S 6, M 7, L 8, XL 9) sts
Finishing
Cut yarn leaving a tail (8 inches) and using the darning needle thread tail through the remaining stitches, one at a time, and take them off the knitting needle.
Pull tail tight by the inside of the hat, turn hat on wrong side
-*K4, K2Tog* around = XS 25 (S 30, M 35, L 40, XL 45) sts
-Knit 1 round
-*K3, K2Tog* around = XS 20 (S 24, M 28, L 32, XL 36) sts
-Knit 1 round
-*K2, K2Tog* around = XS 15 (S 18, M 21, L 24, XL 27) sts
-Knit 1rounds
-*K1, K2Tog* around = XS 10 (S 12, M 14, L 16, XL 18) sts
-Knit 1 round
-*K2Tog* around = XS 5 (S 6, M 7, L 8, XL 9) sts
Finishing
Cut yarn leaving a tail (8 inches) and using the darning needle thread tail through the remaining stitches, one at a time, and take them off the knitting needle.
Pull tail tight by the inside of the hat, turn hat on wrong side
Secure tails by making knots with the darning needle. Weave in ends. 01/01/14

Click with the left of the mouse and "Highlight" only the pattern.
Click with the right of the mouse choose "Copy".
In your computer open a "Word Document" and in this document click again on the right of the mouse and choose "Paste".
